Accessibility Statement

What we aim for

We have designed this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as our target. The website has not yet been independently audited against that standard, so we do not claim full conformance. We treat accessibility problems as defects and fix them when we find them or when you tell us about them.

What we have built in

• A mobile-first layout that reflows on small screens and when text is enlarged.
• One main heading per page and a logical heading order, so screen reader users can move around by headings.
• Text and background colours chosen for readable contrast.
• A visible label on every form field, with error messages shown as text and not by colour alone.
• Buttons and links sized for touch.
• Navigation and forms that can be used with a keyboard.
• Very little JavaScript, no auto-playing media and no flashing content. Reading pages such as this one work without JavaScript.
• Plain language, especially in the Regulatory & Legal Centre.

Known limitations

• The calculators and the multi-step Financial Journey and Will Preparation tools need JavaScript, and long forms can be tiring to complete with some assistive technology.
• Wide tables on some pages may need sideways scrolling on a small screen.
• The investment transaction platform, the mobile app and other linked websites are run on third-party technology and are outside this statement. See Third-Party Platform Disclosure.
• Scheme documents and other PDFs published by AMCs are not ours and may not be accessible.
• Most of the website is in English. Some articles are also published in Gujarati.
