What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the website recognise the same browser on the next request, for example to remember that you have signed in.
The cookie we set

"HttpOnly" means that scripts running in the page cannot read the cookie, which protects it from a common kind of
attack. "Secure" and the __Host- prefix in its name mean that the browser accepts and sends it only
over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to this exact website. Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the account to work, we do not ask for separate cookie
consent for it. If you never sign in, we do not set it. Staff of the firm who sign in to the internal admin area get a
separate session cookie of the same kind, named __Host-itag_v2_adm.
Apart from this cookie, the website keeps one small item in your browser's local storage when you sign in, named
itag.signedIn with the value "1". It holds no personal data, and it is removed when you sign out or
when the website finds that your session has ended. While you fill in the Financial Journey or Will Preparation
form, what you type is also kept in your browser's session storage for that tab, so that reloading the page does
not lose it. Session storage is cleared when the tab is closed, and the website clears it when you sign out.
Security service cookies
The website does not currently use a third-party security or content-delivery service that sets cookies. If we add one, for example to tell genuine visitors from automated traffic, it may set its own strictly necessary security cookies, and we will update this policy before it is switched on.
What we do not use
- No advertising cookies.
- No analytics cookies.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No cross-site tracking or profiling.
Links on this website to other services, such as WhatsApp, social media pages, the app store or the investment transaction platform, take you to those services. They set their own cookies under their own policies once you are there.
Your control
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you can still read the website and use the calculators, but you will not be able to sign in or use the saved-form tools.
Changes to this policy
